I'm trying to repair my rear seat that won't fold forward, I think the cable has come unhooked. However I have looked the Rave manual but this bares no resemblance to the seats themselves. I cannot work out how to get to the cable. Any help

Seriously, does no one know how to fix the rear seat latch? Bit limiting if I can't pull the seat down as it's supposed to

Try removing the cover on the door side of the seat base ...

and see if there's a cam accessible, as far as I can tell it is rotated by pulling the release button and should then spring back...
in the centre of the cam is on a shaft that's a 3/8" square like a socket drive, so a bit of jiggery-pokery with the socket you may be able to free it off ...

Failing that pop off the trim from the seat base to access the 'other half' of the linkage ... and see where that leads you ...

That's just the problem, nothing is accessible, cannot even see the base cover. No screws to remove the back cover. Really tricky this one. Not eager to start touching the leather, don't want to mess it up.

Hi,
I think what Dippypud is saying is, looking at your picture, at the bottom of the leather is a black cardboard type moulding. I've looked at mine and there appears to be plastic retaining clips holding the 2 halves together. If you can get these out you may be able to see more of the mechanism.
Have a look at page 1205 in Rave
