Freelander 1 Help identify mystery cable

I've bumped into the cable at the back of the centre cubby box in my 5dr 2005 Freelander, it's not connected to anything and I was wondering what it was. It's accessed through a removable panel from the rear passenger seat footwells.

Hoping all you Landy wizards can help me solve this mystery!

It's for the optional power/lighter socket which is next to the optional ash tray which fits in the space once the blank is removed.
It can be used with a standard power socket if you like, or to power USB sockets.

Mine, 2002 td4 has the socket and the ash tray.
