Would anyone be able to assist me in obtaining the two correct cross members for my 1986 Classic 4 door. Parts numbers are MUC6306 and MRC8175. Suppliers say they have them or can get them but they are NOT the correct ones. Either they are bad copies or are missing the raised hollow support that the mounting bolt goes through at the ends.

Many thanks to all

Ahhh that's interesting to know! I needed some but ended up rebuilding & welding my original ones. :(

Just found this site, its a realllly cool website!

REAR PANEL/REAR BODY for 1987 Land Rover Range Rover

What suppliers have you asked? I almost want to know how bad the copy is... does it not even fit correctly? The raised support could be manufactured and welded on???

Thank you for your reply. I have seen aftermarket ones from a number of online well know suppliers and ALL are missing the tubular upstand (which I can weld on). But they will not say they will fit as the are made for welding on, not screwing in place as mine are. I may be missing the point somewhere, but I just would like the right ones, or ones that are guaranteed to fit. If anyone has used the available online ones I would be grateful for their knowledge on this matter.

Are these the cross members which fit under the load space floor, they pop rivet in? If so yrm supply them. Not sure what you mean by tubular as the last ones I took off were not so.

They don't have the spacers at each end where you put bolts through to secure them to the body next to the wheel arch.

Thanks for all the comments and information. Both of the rear load space floor supports are formed from sheet metal and are a top hat shape in cross section. At both ends of each support is a tubular upstand of about 20mm that is welded in place , the securing bolts go through near the wheel arch. Yes the floor was rivited in place and the floor supports sit on an adjustable bracket at each end , attached to the outside of the chassis rails.

You could try contacting Phil Holland at Twenty ten engineering in Birmingham, he restores
