Rear end electrics failure?

FOR NO APPARENT REASON THE REVERSING SENSORS HAVE PACKED UP AS WELL AS THE REAR WIPER.ALL OTHER REAR ELECTRICS ARE OK
I HAVE CHECKED FUSES,THE SENSORS AND THE MOTOR AND TO NO AVAIL.ALSO THE REVERSING INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE DASH IS NOT LIGHTING UP
ANY IDEAS

I infer that's an auto one but what kind of Disco....easyer to check the diagrams and take a try to give u an answer.

Ok, there are some things I dont understand............what do u mean by "reversing sensors"......as far as I know the reverse lamps/rear wiper is controlled by a reverse switch from the gearbox(+BCU and IDM of course).......I f u are sure u checked the right fuse(F18) and the motor is good so is the wiper switch then it could be just a wiring issue or even worst something to do with BCU or IDM(tester needed).....the reverse switch is good taking into acount that the reverse lights are operating as u said so is the auxiliary circuits relay coz it's feeding other systems too.
I'd say open RAVE > electrical library> description and operation> rear wipers and washers and u'll know more.
By the way in my ignorance i dont know what the "REVERSING INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE DASH" is either....sorry

Hi Fery, he may be talking about the bumper-mounted sensors that help you when reversing into a space and let out a warning signal if you are getting too close to something.

Do you(or he) speak about "park distance controll"????......if yes it's an other diagram and operation mode
......the description of the fault is too vague for me.......sorry ......I sincerely want to help but i need more info this time......and believe me i'm able to rift any electric diagram in small parts.

Yes Fery, I think that's what he is talking about ?????
Yes its the sensors on the bumpers that alert you if you are getting too close to something when you reverse
the switch /light on the dash allows you to disengage this function when you are towing .this is normally lit when the system is in normal operation now it is off
