Rear door problems

Hi ,
I'm having problems with the back door on my 55 plate TD4. Seen some useful advice on here about problems opening the door but not about getting it to lock. The rear window appears to be stuck partially open , and I can't lock the door but it does stay closed when driving, although it rattles a bit over bumps
Any ideas that won't break the bank would be much appreciated as I'm a single lady with a horse and an ageing Freelander to support.

If it is the cable that has broken a complete kit to repair it is available cheaply on ebay etc. It may be worth checking the fuse which controls the tailgate glass lift/drop function (yellow fuse F31, 20amp, ) which is located behind the fascia panel on the drivers side.
