Rear Brake lights all staying on??

All the rear brake lights on my 2002 Freelander TD4 are all staying on, even when the brake pedal isn't pressed.
Has anyone come accross this before??

Most likely the switch at the top of the pedal. Can be prone to failure. Cheap replacement unless you can fix it.

Got it sorted!!!

I had dropped it in for a job to be done prior to the NCT/MOT. It appears that someone in the garage had replaced one of the rear lower brake bulbs (why I don't know becaues it was working ), but he had replaced the bulb with a bulb with a single filiment and it needs a bulb with two filiments, problem sorted. Thats one to keep in mind
