Right guys as you all may of read im in the line for tyres.

Come across a really good priced tyre etc! But ther ReMoulds.

I know years ago they were crap - whats your view now for mud tyres?

Im looking at either Kingpin 265/75/16 Adventure MT or 235/ 235/75/16 Kingpin Technic amazon

Please could you tell me if your experiances have been great or crap with remoulds and if i should stick with normal OR give remoulds a bash

I thought the INsa Turbos were remoulds just want to know im not gonna spend £250 and get a load of **** that last about 4 weeks and get smashed to bits as there thin and weak

think a few years ago here was a problem with the kingpins delaminating, dont no if it was true or not, try google for a review

just been reading into all of this - reference ReMoulds & Kingpins delaminating etc etc - well it seems 50% say they are not great and 50% say you can beat them etc. doesnt help at all so hopefully a few more of you can shed light on it all.

there not good odds

I have Kingpin remoulds on, no problems what-so-ever, we do some serious stuff and I've seen brand new "good" named tyres trashed on their first time out, if a sharp rock goes through the sidewall, it doesn't look who made the tyre!

Kingpin have been going for a long time now, I remember my Dad using them in the old days when cash for in short supply, and I'm now close to retirement!

Well the ranger I have..., have so far done 24,000 and the is plenty of life in them yet

My insa turbo special tracks are 4 years old now and are still going strong

Had Simex on mine originally, then replaced them with Insa Turbo Specials...Not much difference off roading to be honest (same tread pattern). Speed rating isn't that great, but wouldnt want to be doing 70 on a motorway with mudders on anyways.
go for 'em I say.... plus its stops the fretting about trashing expensive tyres if the worst ever did happen.

Never had a problem with Kingpin remoulds in 25 years and various sizes and tread patterns - indeed the tyre bay was surprised how well they balanced when I got my last set. Back in the 1980s Marquis remoulds (no longer trading) did have a problem delaminating which gave remoulds a bad name. Now looking for a new set of tyres for my IIa and Kingpin have made the shortlist again.

I usually drive my 110 at around 50-60mph but have cruised happily at 70mph with my Insa's.:)
