Rave manual for vista

Hi all.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of rave from that will run on windows vista ? I have tried downloading from the green oval site a couple of times but it will never run !! Used to have it on my old pc that was running windows xp but no longer have that pc. Thanks in advance. Luke

rave works on my Vista notebook.

there is also a version for macs and non os based version, search posts by me and you will find em!

Vista may not be the problem

Do you have Adobe reader installed ?

this is reqired for .pfd documents ( the RAV is normally in .pdf format )

If you do

Was it the Iso version you downloaded ?

If it was then you will have to write the Iso image to disk as this Iso is a copy on the original disk and not a viewable document

Rave comes with Acrobat Reader - yu need to use that version too (4 i think).

Correct but...

Acrobat reader will be no help if you downloaded the iso version even it is part of rave.

You will need to write to disc to uncompile it with nero or similar.

Oh and if you have anti-virus it may block the .pdf

Check you can read a .pdf by typing ... .pdf test document i nto the Google search bar and see if you can read one.

also you have to shut down anything that is also using PDF.. including firefox if you have opened a pdf since you last logged on other than the rave..

As a newbie P38 owner I've just downloaded Rave from the green oval.

It has to be written to a CD or a pseudo CD on the hard drive before you can view it. It comes with it's own Adobe Reader Version 4, I could not make it run with the latest versions of Adobe as it requires extensions which do not appear to be free. I used Alcohol 120% which handles ISO files and can be downloaded as a free trial to burn the CD.

Once it's on the CD it should run fine on Vista unless Vista takes a dislike to Adobe 4 which loads automatically from the CD
