Am getting a strange rasping noise almost like a sucking of air which i only hear when the car is moving. You can't hear it when stationary. I can't quite tell where it's coming from. What might it be? It sounds like Darth Vadar is hiding in my glove box. Could it be anything to do with the drive system or wheels or is it more likely engine related?

It's a Td4 55 plate by the way.

Just to add a bit extra to this - it's like a swirling air noise, and it appears to be coming from a fairly central location...

Any advice appreciated...

Amazing how peoples description of a noise can vary but im guessing prop shaft bearings, either that or have look underneath and make sure your prop shaft or any of the drive shafts have picked up plastic bags etc. If you find any keep them cos they are worth 5p now ;)

Or a wheel bearing........or possibly a brake sticking on.

Could also be a hole in one of the inter cooler hoses.......usually the long one which rubs on the manifold screw causing a hole underneath?..........although that normally causes more of a whistling noise.
