Hi,
i have a full rangeover conversion kit for my P38 range rover . I have already fitted supercharged front headlights and chrome front side grills into front wings so i am not going to change the front end,i will sell the front end kit.

Has any one done the rear end conversion ? How big a job is it to fit the rear lights? i have the correct pods for the lights

from all the stuff on the suppliers website it seems that the rears are easier than the fronts. ONly problem I can see is that although the front still looks very range rover, as the rear lights that go in the pods are from a defender and, if you are also fitting the bonded rear panel infill to give you the L322 reversiong lights you lose the rear foglights so ahve to come up with an alternative.

CAn't help thinking it looks a little "cheap" even thought the bits are far from that. Fitting wise it seems dead easy, even with painting & bonding on the rear panel

in my opinion, the rear of the P38 looks fine as it is (Ia ctually prefer it to the the L322) - just my 2p worth

If you want your car to look like a l322?

go and buy and l322.

I just dont get it!

sorry

Its a bit like Katy prise.

Put a dress on her and some make up and she dont look that bad!

But underneath she is a nasty whore with a big gob.

lol:blabla:

Oh so very true....on both counts Katie Price and a P38 dressed as a L322....

There are three people I laugh at -
1. Drivers of Porsche Cayennes
2. Drivers of any of the BMW X range
3. Owners of P38s with Sport L320 and L322 body bits....

Very sorry, but it is just wrong....L322 are getting cheaper...save your cash on mods and save up for a proper L322

It is just so wannabe....really sorry.

I bought a P38 because I like the look of a P38, I still think that it's the best looking Rangy. Sorry but I've always thought that the rear lights on an L322 looked like a cheap afterthought or something they found in a parts bin.

Don't get me wrong, my Rangie's hardly standard, but please don't do this to a P38.

Looks like he went to halfrauds in the aftermarket bolt on section my god the guy needs shooting it is pig ugly like katie price

Here's one I found that's been done to the highest standard i've ever seen!

Land Rover Range Rover 2.5L DT 4dr Auto Diesel Estate 1997

You are kidding, right?

Personally I'm not a fan of the P38 rear lights (why are they so big?) but I just don't see the point in trying to make a P38 look like a L322.

Actually I can't see the point in most of the poncing up that some people do on their 4x4s - why don't they just buy a car instead? Most of the mods would prevent them ever going off road and if it can't go offroad, what's the point in having one?

I put up with the high maintenance overhead and various 'foibles' because I know I can offroad whenever I like (and it saves me the expense of having to run 2 vehicles). If I didn't want to do that then I'd buy something reliable instead.
