Why is there no Range Rover Sport forum? The 'proper' Range Rover guys take the stick out of the sport :p

or discovery v8 section or discovery td5 section..

Not quite that simple though is it. The Range Rover Sport is a totally different car to the Range Rover, whereas the Disco V8 and Disco TD5 are just different versions of the Disco. Likewise I wouldn't expect a different forum for Range Rover Sport V8's and TDV6's.

That's not how it works on here though. The Rangey section is there for all models of Rangey.

There probably aren't many Sport owners at the moment who even have an interest in opening the bonnet:) but I'm sure some will come along eventually! The l322 owners are gradually piping up as their Rangeys break too!

If you're really frustrated try the forums on rangerovers.net. They split them up by model.

I asked this yonks ago and its just the way it is.There aint a 101 section or ligthweight section either and all the series'es are grouped together too

Doesn't overly worry me guys, it was just a question so I was posting in the right place :p

The fact its called a Range Rover, but shares not a single body panel with the Range Rover, and is based on the Disco 3 made it somewhat confusing given there isn't a RRS section...

I think you've got a good initial point about having a RRS forum. I think it's a little short sighted to just accept everyone won't want to talk about their Land Rover product - be it SeriesI or Discovery 4. If the forum wants to move forward and become a meeting point for people to talk about their models, then they won't come here.

There is the Disco3.co.uk and various offshoots of this, but I find the forum isn't a nice place as it isn't balanced like this one, and the forum insists that any 'trade' members become 'sponsors'.

Before the gunfire starts, I'm only pointing out what I feel, and I don't think for a minute everyone will feel the same way. I like the forum but I just think LZ has a lot more to offer.

landyzone adapts and evolves as and when it feels it needs to. I agree that there aren't any real connections as such betwen the RRS and the full blown rangie but at the same time if there was a section for soley the RRS at this moment in time there would be virtually no posts in it. Give it time for the RRS to filter down to a few more DIY drivers and the need for a seperate section/forum may grow.
