Hi!

Been some time but I'm finally changing the engine now. Had a few questions was hoping if you could help me.
I've taken pictures of the both fuse boxes in the car, seems for me that something is missing, was hoping that you could help me.

there's like an extension fuse with a yellow cable that goes to a tiny box, seen on the right hand side. The tiny box has then a yellow cable that goes from it, but this seems to have been cut, any clue of what it is?

the car seems also to have issues with the bonnet-sensor and central locking, someone that could help with the EKA-code?

Regards

No idea about the yellow cable but there seems, in the picture, to be a Lucar connector bridging 2 wires that should not be there.

You need to look at RAVE and/or your owners manual to determine what should be in the under bonnet fuse box.

Bonnet sensor will be the micro switch on the bonnet latch, on RHD it's on the left hand catch as you stand in front of the car looking at the engine. For the EKA code you need a dealer unless it's USA spec when it should be 1515

Looks like someone has messed with the car electrics perhaps to hide another problem. Yellow wiring harnesses in yellow tube are usually to do with SRS airbags,

Hi the second fuse box ,the engine one that's normal its a blank relay unused look closely and you should have no metal pins like the others square relays .

The other box by the seat shouldn't have that sticking out looks like someone has added somthing .

What help do you want with the eka code ???

Thanks for the answer, don't know about that yellow one, it has on of those diesel-chip called, KCR-box. Don't really know because it's a like a mini-box with a fuse-slot and the cable going from it goes no where, it's been cut off.

Will have a check in RAVE, previous owner didn't have any user manual :confused:

It has a diesel-box, could it be that? The empty relay-slot has metal pins that's the thing confusing me.

Regarding the EKA-code I don't have any, and the battery had been drained so it doesn't recognize the key. So I need to get a hold of the code.

Here's mine the one that is removed is an unused one I put the relay that's out in it as a spare , sorry you have r7 relay missing = fan
And r3 missing think its air Air conditioning or outside temp sensor either way you have two missing dont know if you have a blank like mine and its been put in the wrong place .

Is the car petrol or diesel? The fuse boxes are different, they change by year as well.

I take it this is pre 2000 because it does not have relay 3. So, Under seat fuses 5,16,18,19,21 not used. Correct to be missing. There should not be a fuse at position 11 take it out. That is put in if car is being towed to put transfer box in neutral. Engine fuse box. Relay 3 not used pre 2000. Relay 7 not used. Fuses. 28 feed for relay 3 not used. 35 not used, 40 not used. Everything is there that should be there apart from 10 amp fuse in position 11 under seat that should not be there.

Hi Everyone!

Changed the engine and fitted all the neccessary, had some problem fitting the gearbox but that sorted out.

I'm currently on a lockout from the car due to EKA. Got the EKA from the dealer but it doesn't work.

Tried this method:
4x -> lock
x -> unlock
x -> lock
x -> unlock
x- >lock
-> unlock

Heard on forums that the EKA code can be faulty from the dealership and that you need to insert 1+ on the 2 and 4 number?

Regards

If the BeCM has been changed from the one supplied with the car (perhaps before your ownership) the EKA LR have on record will be incorrect!
That's right saint :) thought the two methods were
4 turns left to start then to the numbers of the code to the right then left then right then left then right to unlock or above without the 4 turns ..

You must make sure the door is locked before the four turns to the left. If the door is unlocked the first turn to lock it is not counted as one of the four to the left required.

Can try again, 2nd lockout now. Another 30 min or 1hour?
So I have to make sure the drivers door is already locked as I make the four turns.
Is the UK Model clockwise to unlock? For me it's clockwise to lock.

Thanks!
