Hi all re my drivers door glass, after I fix it I could not get it to re-set and after several quick up and downs trying to re-set, it seem not to want to stop at the closed position and sound like it's jumping on the ratchet . Is there some sort of limiter that should cut the power to stop this ?

Your regulator has worn teeth at the end of its arc. Not really practical to repair. Can be replaced with good used off the bay, or new.
Thank you for that info , next question then is how hard is that to do ?

If you have already been in the door then its pretty easy to change the regulator , just a bit fiddly to get the clips onto the glass
I think I know the ones you mean , just have to source one and give it a go . thank you both for your help
