hi there i dont see any thing light up on the dash when i put the code in, have tried the 1515 code but still doesnt work. just seems strange as after 3 attempts it locks out so it must be reading the key turns.

sounds like one of the micro switches are stuck in the door latch or sticking every now and then making a code of 2424 into 1414 as the left micro switch in the door latch could be stuck or sticking, or it could be the right micro switch, they get stuck because you dont use the EKA code that often you just use the remote fob.

The door latch can be checked to see if the key turns are read as working every time. but if the Fob codes are scrambled like "key 1" = 144 but is now showing 121 then key one wont work anymore untill the code is corrected. this has to be done via an unlocked Becm.

Did the sync mate work ever? as if yours is Diesel it needs the type for a Diesel. or even worse the obd2 port could be faulty, loose wire, corrosion, etc etc.

Did you say what year your RR was, up to (may 1996) no need for the 4 turns to the left, 1996 - 2001 4 turns to left needed.

Hope this helps. :)

hi there how can i check if the micro switches are working correctly. yes the sinc mate normally works the range rover is a 2000 model. iv had the car a year and never used the key in the lock so could be the micro switches. i do have 3 keys which all worked before this happened but now none of the phobs will disarm the ranger rover. thanks for your message.

Have you tried the press lock on fob whilst locking and press unlock on fob when unlocking. It may be for older models only but might be worth a try if you haven't already.

G~
