Dear all,
I'm in the process of doing up my 1973 Range Rover Classic (I want to call it a restoration but it's not really that in depth). Part of the job has been to take the interior out, replace all the floor panels and drive turret - have them shot blasted and etch primed and put back in again. The seat bases have been done as well and the reason for my post is to see if anybody know what the colour is called that the bases and back of the rear seat are painted? Initially I thought it might have been Bahama Gold but talking to the guy at 'Paintman' he said he thinks its to dark (although he doesn't know the name of the right colour either).
Can anybody help?

Cheers

Dave

Can't help with the code or colour name but before you take the old paint off it might be worth checking the chips (not just the LR ones) of a motor factor local to you that does paint & see what the closest match is.
Some will do an eyematch (or use a scanner) & might be able to do you it in an aerosol.

I've checked the 'bible' but it doesn't answer you question.
If it's any help the only other paint option anywhere near Bahama Gold, up to Sept. '74, was Sahara Dust.

nb: standard trim was Palomino PVC, with bronze brushed nylon as an option from Oct. '73.

thanks for the input guys. Ratae, that's a really good idea, if only I'd thought of doing that before they went off for shot blasting! I'll probably grab the back of the rear seat out of storage and take that along to my local paint supplier and see if they can match it.
