Hi all new here and sorry to start with a problem, but here goes.

Freelander td4

So a couple of days ago i got a little over zealous while off roading and well short version is I um drowned it. Once I was pulled out I removed the waterlogged air filter and with some hopes and prayers she eventually started up. Lots of white smoke and a 1hr drive later and she was running perfect. A little slower to start than usual but other than that fine.

Scroll on a few days and journey to work had barely any power till 2500rpm then turbo kicked in and you wouldn't know there was a problem. Second journey of the day won't rev past 2k and 30mph was a struggle. Stopped and started again then 5mph was a struggle. Today went to recover it and driving 100% fine? Have checked the water trap behind the rear wheel and basically no water in there so thinking poss not water in fuel. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Sorry its quite long winded
Thanks in advance

water may have contaminated the MAF sensor ..
Yes. If water made it through the air filter and got into the intake, then it's possible the MAF was damaged.

Of course water in a diesel engine normally spells curtains for the engine, but if it's running ok, you might have dodged that.

As above it will be the MAF sensor unplug it and run the car like that for a few days, this then should give you a better indicator, if it is the MAF then the day off roading was a costly one, only fit a genuine bosch MAF others will fail in a short time, or of cause run with out it.
