Hi,
Yet again Land Rover have excelled thems selves in the "I have'nt got a clue club".
I have had snags with my L322 range rover gearbox. It is snatching into first and second gear at low revs and the failsafe mode comes on. normally things are ok if the revs are kept high. As a last resort i phoned Shields landrover for a gearbox service and it took 4 weeks and a request from Land Rover hq to get back to me. the message on my phone said " in regards to your gearbox service the cost will be £3800. obviously a gearbox change i think. Anyway I then spoke to taggarts and the guy sad no problem £260. I was confused. I spoke to Land Rover hq and they said yo cannot service the gearbox because it is sealed. I asked does it have a filter and was told no. I then challenged Ralph Speths pa and she told me Land Rover UK do not have any say in how dealerships perform and it left me gobsmacked. They just do not want to know.
