Hi All, My radio has been working perfectly all the time I have had the motor, then today I pressed the on-off switch, on it came no problem. I then went to increase the volume on the steering wheel and got no response, so tried the unit control and no response. It stayed exactly as it was. tried all the knobs, buttons, etc to no avail. tried to turn it off and no chance. Finally got it to turn off by turning the ignition off and taking the keys out. Put the keys back in and it came on, so now having to put up with it on all the time, luckily it is not at a high volume. Any ideas anyone?..
John.

Thanks Guys, That is the news I didn't want to hear, but I will take your word for it and bite the bullet. After all, I am sure its been in since new (2001). when you turn it on , it comes up with Landrover on the screen. Surely an aftermarket one would not do that. I was always given the words of advice from my Father that I should not throw good money at bad money, but put all the money into a good replacement, not repairs.

I recently had the same problem, the only button that seemed to work the the eject button for the cd. A new cd player/head unit resolved the problem!! Admittedly, it was an aftermarket unit.
