Radio turns off when heater blower, or full beam are turned on

my radio turns off, for a few seconds when the heater blower or full beam is turned on, any ideas chaps? its a m-reg 300 tdi thanks

Yup deffo electrical fault

Confirm electrical fault! Always start by making sure the radio has a good solid earth. Once that is sorted if need be run a direct fused supply from the battery, in simple terms it will be the supply or earth, just a process of elimination really.

Also check the earths on the lights and heater

Had same problem with a seat Leon and as m500ddp said check the earth.

Or someone has wired it into a live they shouldn't have :lol:

Wouldn't be the first time

I would be checking the earth point on the inner front wing behind the battery. I bet it's rusted to f**k.

I had a similar problem, just before ie about 30mins, before I discovered the alternator wasn't working, and she wouldn't start
