Afternoon all.

hope everyone’s had a decent weekend .?

I’ve had a search and whilst people have had similar issues I couldn’t actually see a fix.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to sort out the pixelated screen on my factory radio.?

Hoping it is as I really don’t like aftermarket ones I always think they stick out like a sore thumb.

If its this one then its the Clarion and a lot of money second hand

Its the same one, the one in the pic is on ebay for £750:eek: says it has been to Clarion and had the rebuild they put in leds and a aux lead and remove the security code as well.

Just taken it out. Looks like it’s been to Roverville Radio for something or other about 12 years ago. I think someone (probably them) has popped an aux into it. I’m guessing that’s the hole on the front Facia

I do hope so.i had the Clarion address and phone number but I can't find it at the moment. The service center is in Swindon and I'm sure the information is online.;)
The chap selling the one for £750.00 was also kind enough to photo the clarion sticker which I have now “borrowed” so for anyone else who wants the details …..

I’d be exactly the same Brian. Problem is it switches on and lights up but doesn’t work so I think it may need the code putting in which of course I can’t see because of the screen so if they can sort it for £100 I think I’ll go for it so I can do as you say and load the cd changer up :)

I sent mine to Clarion for a refurb and they did a great job on it. Switched the code off, put in a brand new screen, and added an aux lead too.

The guy said they've still got BNIB ones ready to go if you want a brand new one. They weren't £750 either! Here is my original email from 2014...

"Sorry to hear you are having problems with your Clarion car audio unit. We offer a fixed cost repair which is £89.95 inclusive of

If you wish to proceed just send the well packaged unit to us at the address
below and a member of the service team will get in touch within a day or
two. Please enclose your full name/address/daytime telephone number and a
brief description of the fault.

If you have any further questions before sending the unit then please just
let me know.
Kind regards,

You can put the code in with out the screen working just turn it on and put the code in as per the manual

I’ve just had a response from clarion. There waiting on a batch of parts from Japan and won’t be doing repairs now till mid July. They also said all the parts are spoken for so couldn’t promise there would be parts to fix it even if I went for it.
The cost has defiantly gone up. They now charge £295.00 all in.
