Radio Reading "Code Wait"

I disconnected the battery at the end of last week and when I reconnected it, it read "Code". I input what I thought the code was but it came up "Code Wait" and has been like that ever since. I thought this was only meant to last for a minute if you input the incorrect code only once? Anybody any ideas?

Depends on the model but generally yes, further errors extend the time delay longer each time. Remember that the countdown will only run while the radio is fully powered and is reset if you turn off the ignition.

disconnect power again

I had this a while ago...I had to leave it powered for an hour before i was able to re-input the code.
