Radio mystery

Got In the car today radio lit up ignition not on????
Radio is duff nothing works any more screen not lighting up
But im bewilderd why is it lighting up if ignition is off the cigarette lighter goes out but not the radio can't turn it off ?

So I'm assuming its something to do with the memory feed maybe????

What do ya think electrical god's???

Earth Leak somewhere maybe....

Damp Unit due to condensation??

I'm thinking memory feed, isn't that a constant live ??
Radio gone kaput although some lights are working on it no controls are working to it can't turn it off, with ignition on still not working just lights stay on all the time by the way its an aftermarket one .

Radio works in mine with no ignition key, I think it's time limited.

Ok I shall try another radio I have in the garage somewhere ,thankfully all the connector blocks are still in place I've removed it for now in case it starts a fire or something don't trust it especially as the radio won't turn off anymore eek

It will be a radio fault, the permanant live can also power the radio, mines original so operation with the ignition off must I think be normal.

Yes data I've swapped it over with a spare old one I had hanging about all I is fine phew

Mine does the same so is probably normal behaviour. My similar vintage BMW behaves the same way which is perhaps unsurprising given LR ownership at the time.
