A couple of weeks ago my neighbour kindly put my bin out and in the process smashed my indicator lens. I didn't mind too much as they needed replacing and had already ordered replacements.

The next day after some rain when I tried to start the motor it ran really roughly and cut out, and the radio asked for 'code in'.

I in hooked the indicator bulb adaptor and tried the car again and it started and ran fine.

Popped the code in and the radio was fine.

Since then though, every couple of days the radio asks for the code again.

The car clock still tells the right time and no other issues so it doesn't appear to be a general electrical fault??

Has anyone seen this before or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Keith

Agreed but with an old school tape / phono set up from the quid shop converts it into perfect in car phone mp3 and media player by plugging into phone!

I do like the original and wondered if an easy fix! :p

I would try disconnecting the battery for a time, maybe it will heal itself.

Worth a try anyway:)

I'd agree, something is breaking the permanent 12v supply. Either a loose wire/connector to the back of the radio or maybe a loose battery lead?
