I was driving home on Sunday with my caravan on the back when I noticed, what looked like the radiator was ****ing water 2ft out infornt of the car. The temperature was not going up or any other affects.

When I got a chance to pull over in a parking area all I could see was the front grill and bumper were wet and the water had stoped. I opened the expansion tank carefully, no problem only to find the tank was about 1/4 full. I toped it up and decided to continue.

I stoped for food after about 30 mins and checked it. The water had not gone down at all.

Now home and running around for a couple of days with it I still have all the water and are very mistified as to what happened.

were your lights on and did you wash the windscreen? if so check the headlamp washers or if you have air con check it still works

Never been a big fan my self, just with a baby now in tow it works well for holiday and I also use it to stay on site during long jobs, which is where I use it most.

My Td5 had a small coolant leak after towing my caravan to York 2 years ago this week. Prior to this, I always had a slight coolant drop, as I was away from home, I put in a can of Radweld and this stopped the leak - and the slight coolant loss. 2 years on, its still going strong, I know many people are horrified at the use of Radweld but it does work.

I am no longer a caravan owner but its a great holiday, it gives you a good insite into the problems a caravaner faces. Generally helpful and friendly people.

Oh no some one else joining Clarkson`s anti caravan gang. There really is nothing wrong with caravanning as long as if you have a queue behind you you let them past safely. I have never had a problem. some caravanners are over cautious and slow the whole world up. What annoys me is there clubs are full of 60 plus white haired old folk when most sites are full of 30+ year olds having a good time.(I now have stepped off soap box)thank you

The Steamer and Caravan was taken between locations on the back of a lorry so that the production crew would have times to be at locations at a pre planned time. The steamer and caravan are at the moment in storage in a yard in Southport.
