Put parts in order please, starting from the left.

Can anyone put these snail adjuster bits in order please.

I've tried several ways of fitting them and leaving bits out etc but not having any luck.
It should work but it dont.

I have new shoes on the right way round etc but cant get adjustment.
One adjuster works but tother dont and they both have to work or its no use.
The problem seems to be that the retaing bolt is fouling the shoe and not letting it sit on the backplate propper, or if put together another way, the snail slips off the lug on the shoe when adjusted up.

I don't bother adjusting snails..

















































just slit em with a knife and fill em with salt for the birds..

Might be a daft suggestion.. but doesn't one work one way and the other the other way

Yus but,
sumat is wrong cause they is slipping off the lug on the shoe or running out of adjustment and dropping off the end of the snail if yer see what I mean.

got em to work with the drum off but with the drum on they are f'kin useless, I think I'm gonna make me own adjusters it'll be quicker an better

if you can hang on for a couple of days ill take me drums off me old back axle and take some pics of working ones. That any use landowner mate?

Yes that would be a help, I'm not doing owt for a couple of days as I've got letters to write and a court hearing on Thurs, plus loads of things going on regarding our Andy.
Thought you might nip over an do em for us

Heres a thought , if the shoes fall off the end of the snail , you sure your drums are not warn out ?

think hes rebuilt the back brakes fully, i could be wrong though.
