Im about to change parking brake shoes on my 2012 Range Rover Sport.
My car has an 8 speed auto gear box with rottary gear selector.
When changing the brake shoes, part of the process is to winding and unwinding parking brake shoe adjuster through a little hole in the brake disk. Then once the shoes are on, and disc put back on as well, another part is to loosen the wedge adjuster with allen screw so new shows are alligned properly.
For majority of you this is most likely easy job but Im doing this for the first time and now after doing fair bit of research i understand almost everything,,, almost
In order to access adjuster and that allen bolt later on, i will have to rotate tye disc in order to allign that little hole with each one of them. Please correct me if im wrong but the only way to be able to do it is to have a gearbox in neutral? If so, how do you set auto gearbox / rottary selector to neutral?
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
