HI
still have my ****ty abs playing up on my disco 300 3.9 v8, I have replaced old sensors with new and I have still not solved the problem any ideas from any one what else to do
thanks

The light being on tells you there is at least one fault present, it doesn't tell you what it is.
The first thing to do is search the forum and learn how to use a paper clip to do a blink test to read the fault codes. Once you know what the fault is you can think about how to fix it.

Check the toothed wheels that the sensors looks at and clean them, the juddering is the ABS working because it thinks a wheel has locked (turning slower than the others) i would say the fact that this is happening means the ABS module is seeing all the wheel going round so all the sensors and wiring are probably ok.

Always get the blink code first!!

The problem may not have been a sensor so you may have wasted your time. There could be a wiring problem. Blink code should tell you why its' getting arsey. While you're playing about with it, make sure you clean all the connectors you can find on the ABS loom and make sure all the earth points are clean.

Make sure you clear the ECU memory - that could take a little while if it is full but do make a note of each fault code.

i had the same problem on mine, played with the sensors and it stayed there.

turned out the small needle roller bearing had disintegrated causing the the half-shaft to wobble and the abs to kick in, the rest of the bearings were perfect so there was no wheel wobble at all

Get the codes read first.

If the sensors have been replaced - it looks like a new (secondhand) ABS unit.

Good luck

Ian
