Hi everybody I have a 2003 td5, i have replaced all 4 hubs and sensors and the shuttle valve. Since this i get an intermittent 3 amigos and the red handbrake light, if i stop and restart they all dissappear apart from the abs light that goes of after about 20 yards. Can anybody give me any idea of what i need to do to stop this?
Thanks
Frustrated😬

Did you do the shuttle valve modification to the new switch?
Had to do that on my son's D2, got the hand brake light come on also, think it was a multiplug near the ABS pump. My fault as I forgot to plug it in!
What does your code reader tell you?

Hi thanks for replying, i have fitted a brandnew shuttle valve so I've not done the mod, ive not had it plugged in yet i need to find someone local with a nanocom

Hi, what's with red happens ONLY if the problem is with a abs sensor signal so you might have missed something when you fitted the hubs, if the intermittent amigos are triggered by any other part of the system they are going out all when the fault is not present, use some contact spray in all the sensor plugs untill you'll get to read the fault codes, it's possible to find more codes some hystorical so erase them then read again after the symptom occurs.

About a month ago i had to replace 2 pipes coming off the abs module, i have bled the lines through but not using any sort of diagnostic tool.Would this have any sort of bearing on my issue

That would not affect the abs sensor signals at all

Ok looks like I'm gonna have to get her plugged in to a suitable diagnostic tool, I've had the sensors out cleaned them removed the numerous shims that had been fitted, cleaned the reluctor rings to

There should have been a "rubber" ring and nowt else!

Hi Jay. If you put your aprox location someone may be close to help with diagnostics.
Out of interest, were ALL 4 hubs from the same manufacturer? The reason for asking is to make sure the number of teeth on the reluctor ring are the same.

So i have replace the faulty sensor and had it plugged in again to delete historical faults, and you guessed it POW the 3 of them still sat looking at me along with their friend the hand brake light. Was wondering if i could have a problem with the SLABS?...... are these just plug and play or are they more sensitive than that to replace?

If you had a wheel speed sensor fault and replaced the sensor but you get the same fault you'll have to replace the hub cos the problem was with the reluctor ring's play not with the sensor itself... if you have the 3(4) amigos on and no faults logged after some driving then the SLABS becomes suspect provided it's not a blown fuse or earthissue on it's power supply but even these should trigger a code, it is not plug and play, programming is needed
