The PSI powerbox should plug in between the loom and the cable from the pump. Some makes of chip box have external adjusters, don't think you are supposed to open a powerbox and play with the settings.

Do you think i should remove it then? It just seems to be a bit slow to get going. Tge engine seems over worked upto about 35-45 then it is absolutely fine.

If the engine is working properly and well maintained it should not be like that. Lots of things to look at MAP sensor, intercooler, pump timing, sensors failing Etc. Fitting a chip to a well maintained engine will give you a chalk and cheese moment.. Fitting one to mask bad maintenance is not a good idea.
