I was at work on the building site and a artic lorry pulled up fully loaded with roof trusses asked for directions to another site, he went to pull off and sat there on the snow & ice and couldnt move back or forward and asked if i could tow him with the forklift, as he was blocking entrance that wasnt poss so I said i would give it a go with the range rover and he laughed so I hooked up to him and gave it ago and towed him the 50 yards to where the road was clear, he said didnt think you would even stand a chance of doing it, so I was quite impressed with how well it did:):)

If you are going to try and pull something like that which is the strongest point on the P38, the tow bar or the tow eye?

Thing is ya not pulling a dead load the Lorry is adding it's own forwards momentum (however slight) and Ice has a very lo drag coefficient (where's them bloody students when Ya need em) so all ya doing really is providing some assisted traction..
