Propshaft length

removed a Salisbury axle out of a 300tdi 1988 110 defender replacing it with a 1997 300tdi 110 Rover disc brake axle. The nose of the axle look different lengths guessing I need a different propshaft??

So you have worked out your load on the rear axle is acceptable for a rover axle.

Don't have a lot in the back and not going to be doing any serious off road or towing anybing big

i dont think there is a std prop to fit ,when later axles went to rover diffs instead of salisbury they used the shorter nosed p38 diff

What would you suggest me to do

measure the difference, you might get away with spacers or cut a longer prop to suit
