craddocks were seling security super mud pluggas for a while SAT replicas i have the same tyre made by enviotec or summat, prettly good offroad and average to poor onroad, but that was going from avon rangemasters too them so not a fair comparison, my spare is a pukka firestone super all traction and its huge by comparison half an inch taller with the same tread levels

Range masters are good tyres everyone Loves them not so good offroad tho,
Sats the real ones, I think they are great offroad tyres insa turbo beaters, if only they could be a big bigger. On road they loose grip quite soon on but are controllable. some people say otherwise but from my last 2 sets ive used were great and they never had an easy life.
Mitchelin XCLs I remember as a kid sitting in a rangie when the back end let go in the wet for no reason spun out 180 deg style. I have them fitted to my 90 and no matter how hard they are pushed they just underrsteer no nasty snapping from the back end at all All i can put this down to is an improved compound that came out in the 1990's
If I had a series, I would fit SAT's to it it looks right as long as you can bear the noise and lack of grip when pushed really hard (harder than Landys should be anyway) they look the part they keep you moving in the mud. Put them on offset landy rims or at least LWB ones none of this modular, 8 spoke cheap rubbish landy rims all the way. Jai

i was after some sats for ages , or general sag's but couldnt find any.

I'll keep lookin on fleabay till some come up local. Got five last time on wolf rims, I had the rims and me mate had the tyres but he needs one or two now to match up for the mot.

Well,...the propper landy tyre idea is out the window and we've decided on Insa Turbos instead.
That means that we should have a couple of used chunky crossplys for sale, do they still fit them to sankey trailers or have they gone the gay radial route as well ??
