I take it you are stripping every part, undoing every bolt etc.

If its not nut and bolt rebuild on all components then shame on you :p

Your not wrong a lot of serious wonga will be getting spent. I shall be living like a tramp until its done! ;) And working 12 hour shifts every week to pay for it! :( Will be worth it though:p

And yes it will be a "no bolt left unturned" kind of builds! :D

And again hello! :p

Last night/this morning ive done a liitle bit more well its really not much in the grand scheme of things but hey ho!

Anyway i shall let the pictures do the talking.

Like i said not alot but its a couple of little jobs sorted bar a top coat.

Over the weekend i do plan i getting as much done as possible providing tbe weather plays ball.
Although Saturday does look like a complete write off so far. Sunday on the other hand looks much better so hopefully will get that v8 off the chassis into the garage and start stripping it.

As well as strip the rest of the axle.

Stay tuned! :biggrin1:

ask a stupid question time, is that red oxide paint? What did you do just wire brush them then put a coat on? What are you going to top coat with?
jack

Not a stupid question at all. The paint is actually zinc phosphate primer the colour is red oxide.

They were wire brushed cleaned, sanded, coated with rust convertor then painted with the primer.

Top coat will be manor chassis paint although im half tempted to leave all axle and suspension components in red oxide colour.

Good afternoon all.

Well as i was expecting today has been a complete write off!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Ferkin weather! I did get a 5 minute break in the rain and managed to undo one of the downpipes that still attached to the manifolds but then the heavens opened again and i got effing soaked!

So hid in the garage for an hour finishing off the engine stand im making. Cos im a cheapskate and int buyin one!

So am now gonna retire onto the sofa drink a load of tinnys and play battlefield 3 for the rest of the afternoon/evening:cool: as it looks like the rain is here for the rest of the day according the the weather forcast! :mad2:

The pile of parts removed from the chassis.

Suprisingly the chassis is quite light i managed to lift up one end on my own. Anyway the next job was moving the chassis into the gap between the garage and the hedge where my disco is currently sat.

Now that was done it was time to clean it!

20130414_175607.jpg

Took a while to clean it with a wire brush and a hose pipe as i dont have the luxury of a jet wash:eek:

At this point it was time for my roast dinner:D

After dinner and a glass of wine got back out and carried on. Although gave up with the chassis and retreated into the garage as it started to rain and was starting to get dark.

So decided to paint my 2 inch body lift blocks.

And thats about all for today. Didnt get as much done as i hoped so roll on next weekend so i can geton and strip those axles.

Once the lift blocks were painted i started stripping the engine but will put that in my other rebuild thread in the v8 section. :D

Hello again everyone! Im back with an update.

After messing around with the engine strip down all week decided as the weather was so good to get out of the garage and start getting the chassis sorted!

First job was a good wire brushing followed by a rinse with the hose pipe.
