Hi i am new to this site

Problems started last week when loud noise started when turning the ignition on my freelander td4. (noise came from rear). then by the end of the week the car failed to start. Greenflag called and after electrical test diagnosed in tank fuel pump. this has now been changed however still doesnt start and no normal electrical buzzing noise whe turning key in ignition please help as completely lost.

check there is voltage to the pump: crack out your multimeter turn on ignition and check the feed to the pump.

if no voltage, check fuse for fuel pump (consult manual for which fuse it is). Replace with same rating if blown.

Turn ignition, if pump still not whirring, check fuse again. If it is blown again, you may have a short on the feed to the pump or the "new" pump is foohacked!

When you replaced the pump, you did make sure you noted which was the feed pipe and which was the return pipe?
