Problem accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear

Hi, my Td5 disco has a problem when accelerating through 3rd and 4th gear it starts at around 28000revs it's like theres a fuel shortage it sort of shudders till it picks up and then it's off.Gonna change diesel filter but seems it could be something to do when the turbo kicks in.

Should be boosting earlier than that shouldnt it? Change the filters but maybe egr valve? Sticking wastegate?

New to discoverys so this is going to be a massive learning curve I think.not sure what it should be boosting at ?..gonna give it a good service filters etc will check out egr valve and wastegate

28000 revs - that's your problem right there!!!


Seriously - almost certainly simple like fuel filter. Change it first and reevaluate. If still problematic then make sure fuel pump is running sweetly (sound is a good give away) then move onto things such as boost modulator valve and oil in the injector loom.
