After unclipping the indicator and removing the two phillps screws and wiper arm assembly i ended up with this..

Imgp3121.jpg

Then with careful use of a heat gun i warmed the rear plastic housing and edge of glass untill it softend the glue then slid a blunt wide chiesel into the joint and slightly prised away round the light whilst warming and using little washers to jam open the joint as i went till the glass lens came away from the back section...

Bits removed so far...

Using a blade i scored each side of the sealer on the rear casing and then using the correct width flat screw driver to get under the old sealant and scraped it out as i went any sealer on the glass is easy scraped of with the blade to then a last clean out the glass channel with a bit sand paper...

Once cleaned you should have this...

Ok so with the flat face now needing to be painted Satin black i used a scotch bright pad to scuff up the face to be painted and set away with a small nice soft bristle brush then finishing with a dab type finish for effect, the paint i used was satin black enamel paint that was heat resistant engine paint for £5.00 a tin..

Once the paint has dried i used an automotive black sealer called tiger seal and ran a bead round the recess for the glass lens and squidged the lens into place using some soft cramps secured for a couple of hours and then reassembled the unit as per taken apart....

Time taken 4 hours
Be careful separating the lens from the backing cover if its toght a bit more heat will help too much and you will melt it be careful
