have been trying to wire up the powerfold mirrors to the keyfob today and got it working a bit lol

i have 1 4 pin relay and have the fob unlock the mirros unfold but when i added a 2nd relay to the lock side it would fold but then would unfold on superlock

and yes i did use the correct wire for superlock anyhow i was looking into Norways thread as he has just done it and he has done it with 1 relay but my question is if i do this

why does he mention a switch is it needed

I've got a 2 relay system in mine. It can be done with just 1 relay!! I don't know why I didn't think a little more laterally at the time.
All you need do is wire pins 85 and 86 to the super lock motor wires. It doesn't matter which way round. Then 30 goes to earth and 87 goes to the mirror switch fold wire. Norway added an extra switch into that wire so he can disable the auto fold function.
 
No I have disabled the 2 unlocking to single

Not new but using the double relay system but I did swap for a different 2 relay with the same out come
 
Yes easier to just use one relay. You just need to switch over one wire if you all ready have it working for unlocking.
 
This is a very simple auto fold from keyfob system. Its very easy to get it unsynced which means at you will need to correct it with the keyfob again. But its very consistent if you use it the right way. You will also get a unwanted fold or unfold signal when pushing the interior "unlock/lock doors" switch up.

Because of this im looking into wiring the coil trigger signal via the volumetric sensor power feed from the CCU. But that means i need to make up a circuit or using a microcontroller to wire it up.
 
been out today and wired up using 1 relay

But still have the same problem

unlock works but lock folds the mirror and superlock then unfolds them

when testing the wiring the orange wire is unlock

the pink wire is lock
the brown wire which is ment to be superlock also come live with the lock and the pink also comes live with superlock

this is where the problem lies just dnt no how to stop it
 
The orange and the brown/pink wire is directly to the superlock motor. The CCU(motor driver) are changing the polarity to either lock or unlock. That means +12V orange(brown/pink ground) will unlock and +12V brown/pink(orange ground) = lock.

Pink wire and orange(common with superlock motor) wire are directly to the CDL lock. Change of polarity will do the same thing here. CDL switch inside cabin/center console will lock and unlock the CDL motor.

Can you describe where youre getting your 85 and 86 signal to the relay from?

unlock works but lock folds the mirror and superlock then unfolds them
Can you describe better how your mirrors are working now?

This is how they work on mine.

If the doors are superlocked and mirrors folded:
1.Pushing open on keyfob will open drivers door(all doors w/o single point entry enabled) and unfold mirrors.
2.Pushing open twice fast(with single point entry.) will open all doors and unfold mirrors.

3.Pushing close on keyfob will unfold mirrors. Next close will fold mirrors again. Vice versa every time.
4.Holding close down for a few seconds will open tailgate window.

If the doors are NOT superlocked and mirrors unfolded:
1.Pushing open on keyfob will just fold the mirrors. Next push on open will then again unfold the mirrors. The mirror control center(ECU) doesnt know which position the mirrors have it is just feeding the power for switch of position.

3. Pushing close will superlock the doors and fold mirrors. Pushing close one more time will switch position of from folded to unfolded or vice versa.
4.

Its not like the mirrors automatically will fold when its locked and unfold when its unlocks. You need to know which button to press every time to make it behave normal.

my relay is now a single relay wires are taken from the orange and the brown with pink trace


i have single point entry to the car after i changed that on my hawkeye
 
should i disconnect it from the orange wire and maybe go pink and brown/pink

if i leave it as it is now i have to press the lock button 3 times to get the mirror folded

unlock = unfold
lock = fold
super lock = unfold
3rd lock =fold to sync back up
 
I would have disabled the single point entry so all doors are opening on one unlock. I havent disabled SPE yet on mine and i need to "double click" for opening all doors on the first unlock.

Hi Guys...I have been following this thread from the start with interest. I too have disabled the SPE-the original set up was a right pain !!
I would very much like to see the outcome of this project as I also would like the mirror fold function to work off the keyfob.
Regarding the CDL lock and superlock operation-is the signal to lock and superlock a "One shot" or momentary signal...OR Is the voltage "Held on" to the CDL motors for the duration that the car is locked ?
