Power loss in low gear

Hi there guys,my problem is my freelander,2.0 di,year 2000,starts without fail,but last couple of day,as I drive off and go into 2nd or 3rd,the power just goes,I have too dip the clutch,give it a ref then she goes again,it is not cutting out, but the ref just hit rock bottom,any thoughts guys,thank you, Carl

Hi Carl,
Check all the pressurised turbo hoses - from turbo to intercooler and from intercooler to inlet.

also, is there any difference between engine being cold and up to temps - ?
The boost hoses would be first port of call.

Hi thank you for that,u should if said,its the L series 2.0 diesel,not td4 model,any thoughts,cheers mate,Carl

I do not understand your question !
Do you think the 2.0 di does not have turbo inter-cooling ?
I did not for 1 second believe you were talking about the horrible td4 thing.
Please explain yourself ????
