Some of you may have read my post of a few days ago. Rear pipes rusted through, I managed to plug then giving me some time to work on the solution.
Pipes broken of close to the valve block, pretty sure I could get the pipes out but was concerned that if the seals came out there may have been to much oxidisation on the internal bore to use the block again. Did not want to spend £200 on a gamble, so was looking at a cheaper option !

The ram end flex pipes were in good condition, I measured the external dia and realised I could get a 1/4 bsp thread on them with a bit of grinding or filing. Using a 1/4bsp to 10mm compression fitting I could then use copper pipe down to the block using lazy bends over the chassis so as not to kink the pipe.
I did thread the flex pipes and it works well. Then found a set of good pipes for £50 so did not progress.

At the block end I was going to slide the coupling flange onto the pipes and then silver solder a 10mm to 15mm olive to the pipes, these olives are used in central heating when using 10mm micro bore piping to normal radiator valves. The dia is about the same as the pipe colletts.
I am fairly sure soft solder would be just as good.

I have read that there may be concerns that plumb compression fitting would not be substantial enough for the ace pressure, they are safe and tested to a pressure of 25 bar so should be fine.

This was my plan for what it is worth, do not know if it will be ok, but I was about to do it.
Sure there will be some questions and doubts, so please do not attempt it until there is feedback from more knowlegeable posers on here and you feel confident in your abilities.
 
Just looked this up, yes 5 - 135 bar. Probably reach this cornering 90 degrees at 80mph.
135 bar about 2000 psi, cross section of pipe about .30 sq in so pressure on pipe area around 600 psi,or 40 bar a bit over plumbing parts then. See why it may be best to use hydraulic fittings.
