Possible stolen defender found on ebay

Check this one out,
Stolen 1994 red defender 90

It was reported stolen on the LandyWatch forum, and one has turned up on ebay looking identical, freshly painted, even the same damage to the front wing.
Chequer plate put over the wheel mount on the bonnet, red overspray on the dash inside the vehicle, it looks like the same truck to me!

What you guys think?

Anything resprayed before sale is really really suspicious.

And propper spray jobs cost £1000's so, you know its been done cheap. So either cheap re-spray or original maybe old warn paint (if genuine) I'd go old paint every time - if i want it resprayed i'd get it done properly.

Hasn't provided any details and all crap quality photos.

Could easily be a 300tdi which he is claiming is a 200tdi to shift it easily. Steal a motor, make it look like its older than it is + someone looknig at it may think, ouu thats a 300tdi, if i keep quiet i'll get a better motor for my money cus the seller thinks its a 200tdi.

He has stated it is a genuine 200tdi is it just me who noticed they started in late 1990?

As said seller easily could have got the engine wrong (on purpose?)

Rear cross member- how can you tell the one on that landy isn't new???

I thought 200tdi was 1989 - 1994

E plate is 1988 so something a bit screwy

Looks like it or he is very stupid and don't know anything about landy's. (maybe how to drag one up a low loader)

Yeah looks bad- E plate defendes didnt come with rear disc's. Have you thought about visiting it ?

The owner of the stolen one says its not his, but if I was him I would be visiting it. It looks like the same truck, or with bits of it on it.
