Hi having problems with my 97 4.0lt p38 when cold it will tickover fine until i engage drive then revs will drop so low it stalls ! Have cleaned the MAF ect any ideas please.

try reading the question WHEN COLD !!!!
You are the dip**** asking the question which I DID read, how the engine behaves when its warm has great bearing on whats going on.More background info will give you a much better chance of getting a FREE,accurate diagnosis.

The bike in the pic is a Ducati Mike Hailwood Replica,900 Bevel. I have one pretty much identical, rode it for the first time yesterday - its not been used since 2004,I bought it with the engine stripped.
All the other bikes are twinshock or Pre 65 trials.
(Kids reckon I have about 12, I dont like to count incase my dear wife notices.....)

I thought I was imagining I could read Ducati on the side. Very nice too. My last bike went last year, pension won't sustain the insurance costs. I guess all good things must come to an end. I still keep looking for an oldy that could afford to play with.
I'd love to find an NSU FOX or MAX, used to rebuild the engines for a friend who raced them. Unusual ecentric driven OHC:D

I think those were the ones that the factory race team used to put warmed oil into the engines and have warming up spark plugs then race ones.Very nicely made.
There are a few bikes I'd really like,a series C Black Shadow mainly,a Matchless model X and a mid thirties Norton ES2 on girders/rigid.
Add to that a 72 Norton Commando,a Honda CBX,(Just for the 6cyl engine)a TR5 Triumph with the generator engine .......
Now I'm just rambling on into fantasy land.:D
