please help immobiliser

can anyone help our immobiliser keeps coming on and we end up stranded where we are for hours at a trime. The key fob only works when it feels like it but even when we dont lock the doors, when we come back to it the immobiliser is on. Its a 300tdi soon to be an ex landrover if it carrys on. Can anyone help please. Could all these problems be down to the key fob? many thanks in advance

Thats correct it will immobilise the engine automatically when the doors are locked with fob or key, 30 seconds after you have turned the starter switch off and opened the drivers door, or five minutes after the starter switch has been turned off or when alarm system is disarmed
To re-mobilise you just need the fob on the keyring and near the starter switch.

The fob can go faulty but check the battery first.

The Byass wire for the spider is part number amr 4956. It should cost you around £10
