Is it poss that it has a fan off a petrol ???

tis lh thread ,normal easiest to whack spanner with hammer with belt tight to shock it off as if you where tightening normal nut ,hitting flats of nut with long flat ended punch can help loosen it

as i have been through this over the last few days, when i got to undo the l/hand thread, all belts were already off, so I used a good oil filter chain wrench in the V of the pulley to hold it tight.
I already had an offset spanner for the viscous fan, it was used on a bmw 325i I once owned = same sized nut it seems,
only used just the once before too...lol
