Hello,

I've got a 1993 Disco and I've had to remove the plastic sill covers. The plastic fixings are round with splayed ends, with a plastic plug in the middle you push through to fix them in position. They are only very small and I've had to break quite a few to remove them. Not sure I've explained that very well! My question is what part number are they and does anyone know if there's a website I can get them off? Or will I have to go direct to Land Rover?

From the description, they're a standard panel fixing - you should be able to push the middle bit in first to remove...

If that's what they are, halfrauds should stock them in various colours IFAIK!

No doubt someone will be along shortly who can confirm the type

Thanks guys, that sounds like a better description - Plastic Rivet Drive.

I tried pushing the middles out first with a screwdriver but I ended up breaking them. Nearly all of them....I got one out in one piece but there's no way it's going back in!

Thanks again, I'll check out Rimmer Bros or Paddocks before venturing to Halfords.....

Thanks Battenberg, I purchased them from that guy earlier today so I guess I made the right choice! They worked out at 35p each from Paddock, 24p each from lrseries (I think that was the company?) not including VAT and shipping at both paddock and the other place was well over a fiver.

when i took mine out i used a 1.5mm drillbit an drilled in the center of them, then got a screw in to the hole till the thread gripped, then pulled em out,
trim the bur off the hole b4 you put em back an you cant tell they ever been out:D

sayin that i did fook a few up b4 i werked it out:eek:

I hear the screws used to hold the plastic sills on the old style camaro will fit, ofcourse this is only any good to you if you know anyone scrapping a camaro......
