2014 Discovery 4. Love the Car but did not like the head rests hitting me in the back of the head. Removed the front head rests. NOTE there are two plastic clamps holding them in one on each side of each steel support so 4 per seat. One allows for adjustment the other allows for removal it is flush with the plastic caps that cover the hold oin the top of the seat backs wher the steel bar that supports the head rests go. You need to press both to allow removal. ONce the headrests are removed. Remove the leather cover start at the bottom ther are wide plastic clips slide them apart sideways. Clamp the uprights (One at a time) in the vice and bent them 20 degrees back. NOTE they bend fairly easily. Reinstall head rest covers. Reinstall in the vehicel. Problem fixed. DO NOT cut away foam inside the headrest as others have mentioned. In he middle ofthe head rest is a steel bar and the foam in front of the steel bar is only about 5cm thick. If you remove this they may harm you in an accident and the covers will also not fit correctly afterwards.
Time to do this, 25minutes.
