Need to squeeze 2 kids and all their bags together with my own bag in my pick-up from September. Third seat in the cab no problem. Problem is what to do with all the bags?! Standard canopy won't work because of the roll bar. Was thinking of bolting a box in the back but then nowhere for spare unless it goes on bonnet. Any ideas fellas?

I had a custom cover made by my local tarpaulin centre (the guys who make a repair lorry curtain sides) cost around 100 quid and is pretty watertight. Would be fine for the bags I use it for clothes camping gear when I go away so far never got wet, only problem is it's not secure.

I've done this to the back of my 90 pick up...

When the tailgate is closed its secure and watertight...although I'm sure it wouldn't suit everyone

I took my 90 CSW with 5 blokes plus kit from Bristol to Southwest France. Had a roof rack built but bagged the kit bags up in a builders sandbag and put on top with the opening facing rear with the ends tied together and strapped down with ratchets. Went through a couple of light showers on the way and all kit stayed dry. Got the builders bag from a family across the road who were doing some building work at the time, just washed it inside and out.
