Had to let it out, been sorting out my discovery 2 to get it through an mot just to take it to we buy any car as they offered £500 more with an mot.
Just to find out they have dropped there price by £400

Its a shame because its a really really clean car inside and out but has the normal intermittent probs with ace and abs

Well appointment is booked for sunday now but i'm so gutted.

Rip off. When you take it they will find some imperfection...ooh theres a scratch on that panel, and then deduct the professional cost of full repair and spray to the entire panel.

Of course it won't actually be done! They just flog the car to some poor sod using horrendous finance.

Ebay it and you will get a better figure.

I didn't want someone to end up with it and have problems because of the faults and I saw one on ebay that didn't get any bids at 2300 so thought 1900 from them guys was ok, I could pull out if I change my mind but thought i'd book it incase the price went down again.

its a 1999 4.0 v8 gs manual with 101000 miles

dont feel bad for letting someone else having it...

as long as you do an accurate description and list all the faults, then the new buyer will be aware of it and its their own choice if they want to take the gamble of buying the car and live with / sort the faults

I dont have a clue as I dont know much about RRs.... but i would just stick it on ebay with price starting at how much the buy any car have offered and let it run...

put all faults on the description, take some nice pics and that's it.
as long as you are honest with the problems, the potential buyer is aware and will know what to expect..

how much have they offered you?

Are they not just agents for the vehicle auctions?
See below
They're owned by/are Carcraft aren't they??? :confused::confused::confused::rolleyes:;);)
Yep

What do you think it's worth then, oh and it's got early p38 16" alloys too not nice ones.
the fella that looks at ya car is like a reverse car dealer. He will beat the price down so when they sell it at car craft they can maximise their profit. They will tell you things like "oh it has air con, but that was standard so the price goes down"
Steer clear;)

Being quoted 1900 online is a different ball game to being offered that in person.Expect the well this wants doing that wants doing the paint is this is and we would only give x for a car in this condition.I would bet they say around the 1200 mark and then you say go forth and multiply get it on ebay with some good photos and listing the faults its that or part ex it for another motor and dont say a lot to the dealer about the faults.

if you go down the wbac route, make a list of the faults and stick it inside the owners manual, they never check in there, but the prospective new owner will probably find it
