Hi all, Just purchased a 1973 88 with said engine. Shortly after purchase I noticed a squeaking fan belt. On closer inspection I found the alternator bracket bolted to the block was loose. Further inspection found the bottom bolt only had about 5mm of metal to screw into and as such has torn the thread out!! Now does anyone know if these were originally studs if so I'm guessing the short hole is due to a stud being sheared off. And any ideas how to overcome this having limited room so drilling etc is going to be a pain. Cheers all Alec
