Hi all,
I've recently purchased a '84 Range Rover Vogue, which I plan to restore. It is fitted with a Perkins 4236 engine with turbo.
Car had not run for a few years when I bought it. Changed fuel filter, coolant and hoses, checked oil etc and after bleeding system it fired up almost straight away! Runs well but I want to change it for a V8 petrol 3.5, which I already have.
I have a receipt from Milner Conversion in 1991 for their conversion kit. The engine has done approx. 40k miles.
Any advice is very much appreciated.
Thanks

Value? zilch. Throw it away or give it to someone who has a boat to use it as an anchor
There's a few on eBay. Cheapest, which is listed as not working, is £900!! There's one for £1,200 as well.
Guess I'll just put it on and see what happens.

Well, I put the Perkins on eBay with a starting price of £500 (seen others listed on there for £1k). Plenty of watchers but it didn't sell.
Had a message from a potential buyer offering me £300. What do you reckon?
Thanks
