I knows this though there is a suggested tyre performance for best performance. Not neccasarily speed more fuel saving.

I find between 30psi and 32psi the optimum for fuel economy, comfort and maximum tyre life.
Avoid the manufacturers reccommended 26psi!!

Harder is better for economy, but keep an eye on tire wear, center wear shows that they are too hard, shoulder wear indicates too soft!
